Professional exchange and full power: AVP represented with three prevention projects at the German Prevention Day (DPT) in Hannover.
Together with the three extremism prevention projects “Center for Education on Online Prevention in Social Networks (CEOPS)”, “Local Streetwork Online/Offline” and “streetwork@online”, AVP was involved in this year’s DPT. “With a total of five staff members from all our projects, we are really well positioned here and can present our work to a broad audience,” explains Marie Wiese from the CEOPS team.
As one of the leading players in online prevention, AVP is now known far beyond the Düsseldorf city limits throughout Germany. This became clear again and again in the exchange with interested parties from security authorities, civil society and research. “But of course we don’t just want to present our own know-how, we also want to exchange ideas and network with the other players,” says Ahmet Cakilkum from Local Streetwork Online/Offline.
“I particularly enjoyed the multi-professional exchange with other actors here in Hanover. It is always very enriching to take away as many perspectives as possible, which we can then also incorporate into our work,” Wiese concludes.
The German Prevention Day is considered the world’s largest congress on violence prevention and related areas.
