The “Fahrt fürs Leben” (drive for life) project has managed to load 17 ambulances with humanitarian aid, including medical items, hygiene products and food, and send them to Ukraine. In Ukraine, the ambulances are unloaded and used as rescue vehicles in liberated regions in Kherson, Zaporizhzhya, Donetsk, Luhansk and Kharkiv. Meanwhile, the vehicles are located in Ukraine.
The project was made possible by a cooperation of funds and helpers from Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom and Ukraine. AVP together with SV-Foundation, United Help Ukraine and other organizations and individuals contributed to the implementation of the project. At the pre-departure event in Düsseldorf, Iryna Shum, Consul General of Ukraine in Düsseldorf, Sergej Aruin, Executive Director of AVP e.V., Marina Schiefer from SV Foundation and many other guests were present.
