Although Chernivtsi, one of Düsseldorf’s twin cities, is not directly affected by the war, the city has taken in around 60,000 internally displaced persons, including a large number of children and young people. Many of these children live without parental care or in foster families and are in urgent need of support. With this in mind, AVP e.V. has launched the United for Chernivtsi project in partnership with the city of Düsseldorf and United Help Ukraine. The aim of this project is to provide targeted support to children’s homes, rehabilitation centers and foster families in Chernivtsi, thereby helping to support people affected by war and conflict.

United for Chernivtsi” focuses on providing basic necessities such as, hygiene products, bedsheets and teaching materials in order to create the necessary conditions for a safe and nurturing environment for the children. This project is part of our efforts to provide practical help and solidarity in times of need.

To support this initiative, we invite you to participate by donating goods. You can donate via our Amazon wishlist or send new or like-new items directly to our collection point. Detailed information on donation requirements and how you can help can be found on our website: www.solidarity.integrationavp.de.

Every donation, large or small, helps to give these children hope and the chance of a better future. “United for Chernivtsi” is symbolic of our commitment to supporting children in need in our twin city of Chernivtsi. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity and solidarity.
