The mayor of Chernivtsi, Mr. Roman Klitschuk was in Düsseldorf on 10.03.2023 within the framework of an official visit. The leadership of the official twin city of Düsseldorf met, among others, with members of the Jewish community of the city. The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Board Dr. Oded Horowitz, Member of the Board Julia Blüm, Chairman of the Community Council Dr. Wladislaw Korenblum, Deputy Chairman of the Community Council Sergey Aruin, Administrative Director Bert Römgens, Rabbi Kaplan and other members of the community. The aim of the meeting was for all participants to get to know each other and for the Jewish community to actively exchange ideas with the city of Chernivtsi. The board of AVP, represented by Sergej Aruin, took the opportunity to discuss in detail with Mayor Klitschuk about potential expansions and cooperations regarding further humanitarian projects.
