On March 20th, 2015 education center Alpha celebrated its five-year anniversary on its own premises with an official event, which gave all guests the chance to see the building and get an impression of the lessons held there.
Both Sergej Aruin, managing director of AVP e.V., and Vladimir Weinberg of the Federal Association of Russian-speaking Parents (BVRE) congratulated the education center in their speeches. Heinz Wiedenroth of the Equal General Association called its work “an enrichment for the city”.
Looking back to the beginnings of the education center Marianna Kassner, spokesperson of the parents’ council, states: “This education center started out with six children who learned Russian as an additional language. It became a success story and many children are enchanted by our diverse offers today”.
By now, more than 200 children participate in the classes that no longer consist of Russian lessons only. Experienced and motivated teachers offer classes in German, English, mathematics and art, as well. Furthermore, we offer chess, theater, ABC-classes and toddler groups for children at the age of 1,5 – 2 years and preschool kids.
