Every year, the Alpha General Education Center organizes an event in honor of the birthday of a great genius of Russian poetry, Alexander Pushkin. On June 8, 2019, our students and teachers visited the monument of A.S. Pushkin in Düsseldorf, laid flowers there, read his poems and honored the memory of the great poet. After a concert at school, the children were invited to an entertaining quiz dedicated to the poet’s works. It was a very successful, interesting and entertaining celebration. It should be noted that this year it would have been Pushkin’s 220th birthday, which is being celebrated not only in Russia but also abroad. We hope to maintain our tradition each year in the future so that it will continue to culturally enrich us and our children.
